Spray Painting Light Fixtures

I LOVE spray paint.  No really.  To a ridiculous degree.  It is the biggest bang for your buck that you can get in many instances…  whether you’re painting door knobs, hinges, hardware, light switch plates, light fixtures… the list goes on and on.

Today, let’s talk light fixtures.

Sadly, this one doesn’t have a before picture.  This was originally brushed nickel; I spray painted it oil-rubbed bronze.  Picture it now…  do you have any old brass hallway light fixtures?  Instant update!

But really, my favorite kind of light fixture update is to paint is a chandelier.  Take this lovely brass chandelier that was on its way to the dumpster:

I spray painted it red for a friend!  I can’t wait to see how it turns out in her dining room…  it’s such a fun pop of color.

And then this beauty….

I spray painted oil rubbed bronze.

Now it’s in my dining room.  I added tiny lamp shades to each of the lights.  Someday, I may add fringe to those, but for now, I am REALLY excited about the end result!
