Homemade Hand Scrub

I’ve really gotten into the homemade sugar scrubs, my favorite being an olive oil sugar scrub.  So when I found a recipe for a “Gardener’s Hand Scrub,” I knew I had to try it.20130601-091113.jpg

This was super easy to make!  Ingredients:

  • Dawn Hand Renewal Dish Soap in whatever scent you’d like, and
  • Sugar.

SERIOUSLY.  That’s it.20130601-091126.jpg

I bought a little jar at Walmart for less than $2; I’m sure there are other options that are more economical, but that’s what I found.

Then, I poured sugar into my jar and mixed the dish soap in with a fork.  I continued adding sugar and soap until I had reached the desired consistency.

Something that surprised me was how much the sugar seemed to dissolve into the soap.  I think you could potentially even put this stuff in a lotion pump.

Anyway, good luck!  Let me know if you give it a go!
