Cat Litter Box Cover From an Old End Table

I gave Suquay, my cat, away yesterday.  It was really hard, but I know she’ll be well cared for in her wonderful new home.  But before giving this to Amber (Suquay’s new owner) I wanted to show you what has been a brilliant solution for an ugly problem for me.

I have always loved cats, but I HATE litter boxes.  I hate the way they smell, I hate the way they look.

And at our last house, there was absolutely no where to actually put a litter box, either!  The laundry room was in the kitchen, and the bathroom was wayy to tiny to support something like that.

So, I had to get creative.

This end table was a hand-me-down, as most of my furniture is.  However, this piece of furniture serves multiple purposes.

I took this end table and cut a hole in the back of it.  I then went and bought a plastic tub that would fit perfectly inside of it.  Add a baking soda refrigerator box, and it hides the nasty litter box while filtering out smells.  Personally, I think it’s much classier than a traditional litter box!

And Suquay approved.
